We must do two things at once - end our dependency on fossil fuels and build a sustainable replacement. If we forcibly remove fossil fuels, we destroy our economy and our ability to finance the new infrastructure. The result would be regression into the dark ages and runaway climate feedback loops. The present course may be slow, frustrating, and halting, but impatient violence would only bring much, much worse. Keep faith in the progress we are making and the strength of those who press on.
