This is so true. Here in New Zealand the average pint runs $10-$13 a pint. That's £5-£6!! And it's the same basic beer brands you get for less than $2 a bottle at any shop. I rarely go out. It's a stupid price for cheap beer.
But there's a place in town with nightly happy hours,half price, so $6 for a pint. AND that's the price for a wide range of craft beers. Needless to say, they're packed every night.
