This is not the time to ask "sustainable for whom?" It's like debating the seating arrangement during a fire. We have ten years to decarbonize or we risk, not just our species, but much of life on earth. Poor countries don't get a pass. Underprivileged do not get a voice unless that voice is a chorus. You mean well, but trying to overthrow an unjust system at the same time as stopping climate change is a recipe for oblivion.
To think otherwise is to fail those very people you want to help.
