There is no reason for climate activists to welcome peak oil. It only means we won't increase our already astronomical use. We'll continue to use oil for the next century with no social shift in attitude toward it. How happy would my spouse be if I said, "See honey! You always said I should spend less. I hardly spend anything now that we're bankrupt."
