So true. I remember watching the US enter Iraq and Afghanistan, paying for it in part by abandoning operations in Africa. Then the Chinese implemented the Belt and Road policy as they saw the opportunity to pick up the slack. Now they control some of the world's scarcest resources while the US controls trillions of dollars of war debt. Sad.
