I agree we’ll see severe supply chain complication in the short term, but the end game may not be as dire as all that. Electric trucks especially, 80% of transport, are already in production and look to replace the current fleet by 2037. Take a look at the IDTechEx report “Electric and Fuel Cell Trucks 2023–2043” and the uptake in the US market which sees a serious, real-time transition already underway. As diesel becomes precious, electrification will fill this demand. But soon enough?
