I'm so tired of reading the same myth about EVs - that because components are not green the cars are not green, because the grid is not green EVs are not green.
EVs are meant to solve one problem only - remove fossil fuels as a power source. They can't single-handedly change the entire supply stream, and they're not meant to.
What they are is a magnificent first step.
Instead of making the same, tired comments on EVs, start tackling the rest of the supply chain. Ask, "My EV is electric, so why isn't my grid?" Ask, "My EV is electric, so why isn't the bulldozer mining it's materials?"
That is the point of an EV - to push the other direction. Why are you pushing against EVs?
