I watched an interview with Farley, and his stunned naivete was shocking! How could the head of a global auto brand not see this trend developing years ago? I could only assume it has something to do with catering to oil drilling customers in climate denial red states in an oil dominant nation. But they also get pressure from parts manufacturers, aftermarket, garages, mechanics and all their unions. Then there are the state and local government "buy American" mandates. Then the anti-competitive tariffs. What a bubble!
