I was disappointed when journalists started quoting Twitter rather than call that celebrity/politician for a quote. Sure, it's easier, and there it is in black and white, but it's not a story. Media outlets say they don't have the budget to send out a stringer in person to interview anyone, but that means we all lose. Without the stories of the street, we're left with stories of the keyboard.
