Great summary! That last bit is important, and I hadn't heard about it. The only reason Chinese electric vehicles aren't already dominating the US market is the prohibitively high tariff. Which is too bad, since the US produces the bulk of transport emissions. Having a license to produce the batteries in the US is a great start!
