Great article! I'm going to forward this on to others.

On thing we don't think about because it isn't directly emission related is that all those offcuts and chips need to remain on the forest floor to fertilize the next batch of trees. Shipping those nutrients off to burn means they're no longer available. Eventually the ground becomes barren and needs fertilizers to replenish, fertilizers derived from fossil fuels.
