Great article! Yeah, I was shocked to learn that half the world's wood is used for cooking! But LPG and natural gas are no better. Recent EPA reports on the fumes from gas cooktops are pretty horrifying. Electric is the simplest, safest, and climate friendly option. And these little electric hot plates can be installed without ventilation in even the smallest dwellings. Let's hope they're adopted everywhere by 2030!
