What is concerning is that almost every instance you raised is economic, the struggle between the have and have-nots, and the manipulations of an aspirational class. It seems this would be better understood once race is removed from the discussion altogether. To modern ears, the struggle would no longer need such a long explanation, and both sides could agree on historical injustice without feeling pilloried today.
