Does anyone else see the paradox here? The female gaze fantasizes men unrepresentative of the mass population. Sound familiar? That's no less toxic than the male gaze. Worse, women applaud feminine proxies, guys who wear lipstick and dresses while women wear oversized pants and shapeless shirts. Both sexes yearn for the feminine, with neither willing to step into that role, a role disappearing from reality, glimpsed only in cinema.
