Another fantastic article, as usual. You're talking about replacing oil energy with human energy. I like the angle of colonial inevitability - it explains so much.
One note, though, is that replacing fossil fuels with a cheaper, more abundant energy source would solve this problem (for now), and that's what we see taking place.
