100% agree. Flaubert wrote, "Be ordinary in your work so that you may be extraordinary in your art." Creativity thrives on that maxim. Think Kafka who worked in insurance.
Recently I had a job that kept me stressed. I didn't produce one creative thought in six months. When a new employer told me, "You might get bored in this job," I knew I'd struck gold. My art is now thriving.
